CAR Series.
This series originates from a growing interest in recycling automobile waste, a by-product of rapid urbanisation and industrialisation. By approaching scrapped vehicles through a deconstructivist lens and assigning them new functions, the work delivers a message about sustainability. Automobiles readily seen in our daily lives serve as powerful symbols of industrial and technological advancement.
In this project, cars are dismantled and their individual components are treated like sculptural fragments. These parts are then reassembled into furniture pieces, offering a sense of visual freshness. Each automobile part becomes a puzzle piece; by deconstructing the once-complete form of the ‘car’ and reconfiguring it, a new kind of puzzle is formed—this is the CAR Series.
The CAR Series consists of a total of two series:
CAR 001 and CAR 002.
